Developer Joe O’Reilly and Irish Life have lodged plans to demolish part of the Ilac Centre for new shops and apartments.

The application to Dublin City Council proposes the construction of a three-to-eight-storey building with an additional three levels of basement space.

If approved, there would be three floors of shops, 69 apartments and a cafe built on the site. A landscaped courtyard and viewing deck would be developed at third-floor level.
