Permanent TSB has completed the sale of Irish Life Group to the government, thus completing the recapitalisation of the bank.

Permanent TSB has completed the sale of Irish Life Group to the government, thus completing the recapitalisation of the bank.

The company confirmed its sale to the Minister for Finance for the previously disclosed amount of €1.3 billion.

The sale marks the conclusion of the recapitalisation of the bank as ordered by the Central Bank of Ireland on in March 2011 and brings to €4 billion in additional capital invested in the Group since that date.
