The producers of Penny Dreadful, the latest big-budget television drama to be filmed in Ireland, are aiming to raise more than €30 million for the show’s second series from tax break investors.

Work has begun on the production of the second season of the hit show after US TV network Showtime gave the go-ahead to a second series in recent weeks.
