Peace walls 'to come down in North by 2022'

The metal fences and barbed wire that separate many Protestant and Catholic communities in the North will be removed over the next nine years, a new report says.

The metal fences and barbed wire that separate many Protestant and Catholic communities in the North are to be removed over the next nine years, according to a new report.

The Cohesion, Sharing and Integration strategy is to commit the Executive at Stormont to reduce the number of 'peace walls' in the North, "with a view to their elimination by 2022".
