While Irish newspapers continue to revamp, review and plot changes - online and off - the Norwegian president of the European Newspaper Publishers' Association (ENPA) has said it will amount to little if the government does not create favourable conditions for online publishing.

Ivar Rusdal, who is also chief executive of a newspaper group in Norway, said that clued-in legislation on copyright and media ownership in Ireland was crucial in ensuring sustainable growth and development...
