Patrick Nulty resigns from Labour Party

Dublin West TD Patrick Nulty has resigned his Labour Party membership and called for national debate on the route to economic recovery.

"I have taken the decision to resign my membership of the Labour Party," he said. "

This was difficult because I have been a member of the party for over a decade. However, it was necessary."
