There is no timeline on the Anglo Irish Bank promissory note issue, Taoiseach Enda Kenny has told the Dáil.

Patience is needed on the issue, the Taoiseach said.

Earlier, Minister of State Brian Hayes has said that he is not surprised by Olli Rehn's comments that the State must pay the €3.1 billion Anglo Irish Bank bill due later this month.
