A former chairman of the greyhound racing board is planning to build a greyhound stadium in west London with a capacity for 6,000 spectators.

A former chairman of the greyhound racing board is planning to build a greyhound stadium in west London with a capacity for 6,000 spectators.

Paschal Taggart, who chaired Bord na gCon from 2000 to 2006, is due to submit plans to Merton Council for the €37 million track at Plough Lane.

The current dog track in Wimbledon is part-owned by London developers Galliard Homes, which has commissioned architects to work on a redevelopment plan to build nearly 800...
