Objections by the Irish Parachute Club could scupper plans for a major wind energy export project in Co Offaly.

The club, based at Clonbullogue, has written to Offaly County Council to warn of an "obvious conflict" between its operations and the plans to erect more than 2,500 wind turbines to supply electricity to the British market.
