Pallet firms launch €16m deal

Irish-owned company Mid Cork Pallets has joined forces with local Cork operator Palfab to launch a €16 million pallet manufacturing business in Macroom.

Irish-owned company Mid Cork Pallets has joined forces with local Cork operator Palfab to launch a €16 million pallet manufacturing business in Macroom.

The new specialist facility will use environmentally sustainable methods to manufacture composite pallet blocks from recycled wood.

‘‘You are talking in excess of €10 million for equipment and €6 million for the construction,” said Eirebloc director Sean Lehane.
