Paddy Power shares drop on lower outlook

In the first nine months of the year it reported a good underlying performance but sports results were poor.

Betting group Paddy Power has seen its shares fall sharply after it cut its profit growth forecast for this year amid unfavourable sports results.

Paddy Power shares were trading at €57.70 at 12.45pm, down 7.7 per cent.

In an interim statement it said it expected low to mid single digit percentage operating profit growth in 2013.
