As artisan food businesses go, Laois-based DP Connolly & Sons works a little differently than most.

The business runs on a collaborative basis - several smaller-scale producers supply it with high quality lemonades, juices, jams, marmalades, sweets and, most recently, crisps. These are then packaged at its premises and sold under the DP Connolly name to 180 stockists across Ireland and 30 more in the UK.
