Pace of home building picking up, CSO figures show

The figures for the second quarter of this year show that 4,419 new dwellings were completed, an increase of just over 34 per cent from a year earlier

Official figures suggest the rate at which new homes are being built is accelerating, with a particularly big increase in the number of housing schemes completed.

The new CSO figures also use ESB connections, but they are adjusted using extra information from ESB and other sources.
