Owners battle Lone Star over historic D2 pub

Two families who own Kennedys pub on Westland Row in Dublin are seeking to oblige international fund Lone Star to let them buy back control of the property.

Lone Star bought debt attached to the 19th century pub and has since installed a receiver.

A deal to sell to New York-based pub magnate John Mahon and a partner has been reached for a sum in the region of €1.5 million.
