Overseas property purchases on the up

The first issue of RTE's newly launched House Hunters in The Sun magazine contains a survey which claims to show that more and more Irish people are buying property abroad.

The research carried out by the magazine shows that Irish buyers are looking for properties in the sun that are ready to move into and easily accessible from Ireland.

The vast majority of respondents - 77 per cent of those surveyed - are looking to spend between €50,000 and €150,000, with a further 16 per cent are looking at properties priced from €200,000 to €400,000.
