How do you get work in the field you studied for when employers want people with experience? Gareth Naughton reports

It is the age-old problem facing graduates: you have the skills, but employers want people with experience you can't get unless someone is willing to take a punt on you.

The situation has been worsened by recession. New graduates are competing for the same roles as people with a few years' experience in the workplace.
