Agri-food company Origin Enterprises posted a positive trading update last week, with the improved spending power of farmers translating into a sales boost for the company.

Group revenue increased by 5.3 per cent year-on-year, but most of the underlying growth came from a 16 per cent uplift in its core agri-services businesses, where volumes increased by around 5 per cent in the quarter.
