Organo reduces UTV stake to below 3%

Investment vehicle, Organo has sold a further 2 million shares in UTV, bringing its stake in the media group just below 3 per cent, according to stock exchange filings.

UTV’s share price has risen more than 80 per cent over the past year.

Investment vehicle, Organo has sold a further 2 million shares in UTV, bringing its stake in the media group just below 3 per cent, according to stock exchange filings.

Organo, which is owned by financiers Peter Crowley and Niall Hughes, at one stage held more than 16 per cent of the company. Crowley and Hughes are best known for their 2007 purchase of the Racing Post from Trinity Mirror for £170 million.
