Oracle executive blasts e-government plan

The government's plan to have all public services available online by next year is a “big mistake'‘, according to a senior executive at software maker Oracle, who has worked closely on government initiatives.

Jens Mortensen, Oracle's vice president for public services, said so-called e-government had to be driven by demand from the public, which did not seem to exist.
