"Bury the Thatcherite Taxes" and "Lasst sie Kuchen Essen" [let them eat cake] were just some of the many poster slogans at a large protest outside Dublin Castle yesterday, where Ecofin ministers met to discuss EU economic policy.

Organised by the Campaign Against Home and Water Taxes, the protesters gathered at the Garden of Remembrance in Parnell Square, and marched from there to Dublin Castle.
