General Motors is likely to export the European Astra to the US, where it will replace the Saturn Ion.
General Motors is likely to export the European Astra to the US, where it will replace the Saturn Ion. Should the business plan make sense, some 20,000 Astras will be exported. The basis of the move is to prepare the US buyer for the next generation Astra, due in 2009, which is intended for the US market.
