Online giant considers Dublin move

US e-commerce website Etsy, dubbed the eBay for handmade goods, is considering opening a European customer support centre in Dublin this year.

US e-commerce website Etsy, dubbed the eBay for handmade goods, is considering opening a European customer support centre in Dublin this year.

The move would consolidate Dublin’s reputation as an internet hub and create up to 50 jobs.

Etsy was set up in 2005 and now has almost seven million members worldwide.
