One51 is seeking clearance for the takeover of three recycling companies, including businesses based in Galway and Laois.

The company has submitted its plans to buy A1 Metal Recycling, Galway Metal and Hegarty Metals to the Competition Authority. The three companies had pre-tax profits of well over €10 million in 2006.
