Ryanair is targeting key deals with British Airways and Virgin Atlantic as part of its efforts to convince the European competition authorities to clear its proposed takeover of Aer Lingus. The airline has told the European Commission it is willing to give up key routes to ease competition concerns, and is lining up other airlines to take them over.
