An additional 75 cases relating to allegations of sexual abuse in day schools have emerged in the aftermath of the landmark legal case by Louise O’Keeffe, it can be revealed.

The cases have come under review by the State Claims Agency in recent months, after the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) ruled in January that the Irish state had been negligent in failing to protect O’Keeffe from abuse in a national school....
