Offspring of Pope's Children' spark need for more teachers

Some 6,000 extra teachers will be needed in schools within the next ten years partly due to Pope's Children' effect.

The rise in births following the visit of Pope John Paul II to Ireland in 1979 led to this group being dubbed The Pope's Children'. And now their offspring are contributing to a sharp increase in the number of children entering primary and secondary schools.
