Office rents rise in Dublin

Fresh fluctuations of demand and supply are contributing to the spike in office building rents in the centre of the capital, writes Donal Buckley.

Increasing demand, dwindling supply and uncertainty as to sources of funding for new schemes are contributing to a spike in prime office rents in Dublin.

Prime rents in the capital have risen by about 17 per cent in the last 12 months, with new accommodation now commanding rents of €323 to €377 per square metre, depending on quality and location.
