Office and home spaces should allow for A Room of One’s Own
Co-working and co-living spaces are not for everyone and designers must take account of this
Virginia Woolf famously wrote of the importance of a Room of One’s Own for a woman to write fiction. I would argue this is true of any artist or creative developing their craft.
We are living in a time when the focus in interiors is on communal integration, co-working, co-living and so on. Sales and marketing influence key design decisions, and technology plays an ever-increasing role in our residential and commercial environments.
