Irish Voice newspaper owner Niall O’Dowd has bought out his New York competition, the free sheet Home & Away.

Fergus Hannah founded the weekly newspaper four years ago. Distributed largely in Irish bars in the Big Apple, Home & Away has a circulation of 12,000.Hannah is returning to live in Ireland and has sold his publication to his former rival.
