Tourism minister John O'Donoghue has ruled out any sale of the Great Southern Hotels under his watch and criticised public statements by Dublin Airport Authority chairman Gary McGann about possible closures in the hotel chain.

Tourism minister John O'Donoghue has ruled out any sale of the Great Southern Hotels under his watch and criticised public statements by Dublin Airport Authority chairman Gary McGann about possible closures in the hotel chain.

O'Donoghue, whose Kerry South constituency has two Great Southern Hotels in Killarney and Parknasilla, was adamant that the hotels should remain in state ownership.
