An increase in spectator numbers is anticipated at next week's Dublin Horse Show, where showjumper Cian O'Connor will compete after being the surprise winner of a bronze medal at the London Olympics.
Last year, around 100,000 people flocked to Dublin's RDS for the annual show, which costs in the region of €4 million to host. It has the third-largest annual prize fund for international showjumping in the world, at close to €1 million.
