O’Connor to tell Mahon tribunal Ahern donation was ‘unintentional’

Padraic O’Connor, the former chief executive of NCB Stockbrokers, will this week tell the Mahon Tribunal that he never intended to give a personal donation to Taoiseach Bertie Ahern.

O’Connor’s testimony will bring him into direct conflict with the version of events outlined to the tribunal by some of the Taoiseach’s closest associates, including the evidence given last week by Des Richardson, the former Fianna Fail fundraiser.
