An outcry has developed following the eviction of an elderly Dublin couple from their home in the upmarket suburb of Killiney, Dublin.

The eviction was filmed by an onlooker and distributed online.

Activists who took part in Occupy Dame Street and other groups opposed to evictions and bank bailouts said they were occupying the Dublin City Sheriff's Office in protest at the action.
