Loans connected to telecoms magnate Denis O'Brien will go up for sale this week, as the €22.5 billion liquidation of the Irish Bank Resolution Corporation (IBRC) escalates.

O'Brien, the country's richest man, has substantial borrowings from the former Anglo Irish Bank. The loans will form part of Project Stone, a €9.3 billion portfolio of loans being placed tomorrow.
