Digicel, the telecoms giant founded by billionaire businessman Denis O’Brien, is reported to be in discussions with the prime minister of the south Pacific island of Vanuatu about establishing substantial mobile TV interests there.

Local reports say that O’Brien met with the country’s premier, Joe Natuman, last week in Samoa to discuss a number of investment plans related to Vanuatu’s communications needs, including the setting up of 54 mobile TV channels.
