National broadcaster Today FM, Dublin station FM104 and Highland Radio will continue to operate as separate businesses under Communicorp should the €200 million deal to buy Emap’s Irish operations get regulatory clearance.

Paddy Halpenny, Communicorp chief executive, said the group hoped to retain ownership of all of its existing stations as well as the three it has just agreed to buy.
