Businessman Denis O’Brien said he won’t proceed with a proposal to invest in Eircom Group Ltd.

In an e-mailed statement, O’Brien informed a committee of the telecom company’s first-lien lenders “that he will not be proceeding with a proposal for the company,” according to a report on Bloomberg.
