Telecoms entrepreneur Denis O’Brien has been granted planning permission for his plans for the rundown Canada House building on St Stephen’s Green in Dublin city centre.

Telecoms entrepreneur Denis O’Brien has been granted planning permission for his plans for the rundown Canada House building on St Stephen’s Green in Dublin city centre.

O’Brien bought the building in 2001 for around IR£18 million (€22.8 million) but, in recent years, the office block on the corner of St Stephen’s Green and Earlsfort Terrace has been unoccupied.
