A vintage Apple 1 computer is expected to fetch stg£50,000-£80,000 when it goes to auction next month.
It pays to be in at the beginning. Joe Copson was an employee of the Apple Computer Company in 1976 when Steve Wozniak designed and hand-built the first Apple personal computer.
His friend, Steve Jobs, suggested a few improvements and handled its sale and marketing. To pay for this first Apple creation, named Apple-1, Jobs sold his only means of transportation, a VW car, and Wozniak his HP-65 calculator.
