President Obama says the Republican party's offer to avoid the fiscal cliff "doesn't go far enough" and that the confirmation process has become "miserable".

Speaking to Bloomberg TV's Julianna Goldman, Obama said that he is willing to make further cuts in entitlements, but insists that Republicans accept higher tax rates for top earners in the US.
