O2 rings up €188m profit

Mobile operator O2 made an operating profit of €188 million in 11 months last year - or about €4 million a week - as turnover hit €834 million.

Mobile operator O2 made an operating profit of €188 million in 11 months last year - or about €4 million a week - as turnover hit €834 million.

The firm, which is the second-biggest mobile operator in the country with 1.6 million customers, had an accumulated profit of more than €736 million at the end of last year.
