O2 reveals plan for franchised stores in Ireland

Telecoms firm O2 is launching a nationwide chain of franchised O2 retail stores, with the company set to have 35 new outlets trading by the end of this year.

Telecoms firm O2 is launching a nationwide chain of franchised O2 retail stores, with the company set to have 35 new outlets trading by the end of this year.

The mobile phone operator has already signed franchise agreements with 20 independent retailers, which will now begin to trade under the O2 Retail brand, according to Tony Hanway, the company’s director of consumer sales.
