Nutella settles suit over health claims
US reports say the maker of Nutella has paid out to settle a case brought by parents who thought the product was healthy.
It's been reported that Ferrero, the maker of the chocolate spread Nutella, has settled a class action lawsuit brought against it in California by parents who claimed they were led to believe it was a "healthy" option for children.
The well-regarded Consumerist website has reported that the lawsuit settled for about $3 million, $2.5 million of which was going to consumers.
Nutella's website talks about its "simple and wholesome" ingredients (these are mainly sugar and palm oil)...
