Looking at the ten-year history of Barchester Healthcare, it's hard not to be impressed. In less than ten years the British nursing home operator has grown from a company operating 665 beds to one operating about 10,000.

The company is perhaps best known for its wealthy owners, racing tycoons JP McManus and John Magnier, but seated at the helm of this rapidly growing business is chief executive Mike Parsons.
