Number of mortgages in arrears drops by 2,000 in August

The total number of mortgage accounts in arrears fell by 2 per cent — or 2,089 cases — between the end of July and the end of August this year, new figures from the Department of Finance have shown.

The total number of mortgage accounts in arrears fell by 2 per cent — or 2,089 cases — between the end of July and the end of August this year, new figures from the Department of Finance have shown.

The number of accounts in arrears of more than 90 days fell by 1,435 accounts to 69,865 accounts at the end of August.
