Number of mortgages in arrears continues to fall

The total number of mortgage accounts in arrears decreased by 1,333 on the September figure to stand at 94,782, the Department of Finance said today.

The total number of mortgage accounts in arrears — all arrears one day past due — decreased by 1,333 on the September figure to stand at 94,782, the Department of Finance said today.

The number of accounts in arrears by more than 90 days also continues to fall, decreasing by 1,779 to 66,075 by the end of October.
