Shares in NTR, which is now predominantly a wind energy business, have nearly trebled since the start of the year as investors expect a liquidity event later this year.

It is understood that private investors have been eyeing the company, whose shares trade on the grey market, in recent weeks, lifting the price from a low of 20 cent in January to 55 cent.
