NRA awards €3.5m contract to ESBIE

The National Roads Authority has awarded a €3.5 million contract to ESB Independent Energy (ESBIE) to supply power to Dublin Port Tunnel.

Under the terms of the two-year deal, ESBIE will supply over 25 million kWh of electricity to the 4.5 kilometre twin bore port tunnel to power lighting, ventilation and traffic monitoring systems.
