NPRF suffers over €65 million loss in one week

The National Pensions Reserve Fund (NPRF) has suffered losses of more than €65million in the space of a week on the Bank of Ireland (BoI) shares it acquired in lieu of the €250 million cash dividend it had been due to receive.

The National Pensions Reserve Fund (NPRF) has suffered losses of more than €65million in the space of a week on the Bank of Ireland (BoI) shares it acquired in lieu of the €250 million cash dividend it had been due to receive. BoI shares closed on Friday at €1.00, 26 per cent lower than the €1.36 at which the NPRF acquired the shares on Monday.

This valued the NPRF’s investment at €183 million.
