NovaUCD encourages spin-outs and spin-ins at the campus

One of the best known campus incubation centres is NovaUCD, the centre for knowledge-based start-up companies on the Belfield campus of University College Dublin (UCD).

The centre, which is run by Pat Frain, is home to 23 companies with about 130 staff.

Mice¤ al Whelan, project manager for communications at NovaUCD, said the university had an industry programme in place since 1988.
